About Our Bishop

Bishop Michael L. Bull, the fourth child of nine children. He was educated in the Florence County public school system and furthered his education at Florence-Darlington Technical College.

Bishop Bull was baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost on December of 1975 under the leadership of the late William English, Sr. At that instance; he dedicated himself to doing the will of God regardless of the circumstances. Bishop Bull served as the Youth Choir Director and Youth Department President. He began ministering in 1977 when he was appointed assistant pastor to the late Elder William English, Sr. He occupied this role until 1979. In 1980 after the passing of Elder English, Sr. Bishop Bull was installed as pastor of St. Matthew's UCJC, Apostolic by Bishop Monroe Saunders, Sr.

For over thirty years, Bishop Bull has been pastoring St. Matthew's UCJC, Apostolic with First Lady Barbara Bull faithfully by his side.

In 2000, Bishop Bull was elected to the board of Bishops for the United Churches of Jesus Christ, Apostolic and Assistant Diocesan Bishop of the 5th Episcopal Diocese. He also serves as a member of the Darlington Ministerial Alliance and is recognized by Glory Land Bible College and Morris School of Religion. In 2004 he received an Honorary Doctor of Divinity Degree by Pentecostal Bible College of Alabama. In addition to his pastoral obligations, he is also employed by ESAB of Florence.

Bishop Bull stands strong in his calling and responsibilities as a pastor by leading the saints with great knowledge and understanding of God's word.
